You could try the Gutenprint Printer Application. It is version 5.3.4 whereas the Debian package in the newest released Ubuntu is 5.3.3. To do so, uninstall the printer-driver-gutenprint package and remove your print queue. Then install the Gutenprint Printer Application from https://snapcraft.io/gutenprint-printer-app Via command line you can install it with the command sudo snap install --edge gutenprint-printer-app Then follow the instructions on https://snapcraft.io/gutenprint-printer-app Does this help?
