This printer uses printer code that Samsung developed for many of their printers.  It is not a common set of commands.  Gutenprint does not have anyone to develop a compatible code, therefore, Gutenprint will not be providing drivers for this.  I did notice that Samsung provided Mac drivers through Mac OS X 10.7 only.
