Sorry to hear that.
Do you have any error messages from the CUPS debug log to tell us what went
wrong?
If you have a linux system you could try there (I assume you use USB
connection) and tell us if the issue is really with the driver, or whether
it is an issue with MacOSX.
I seem to remember many people using the Gxxx drivers already, so I would
like to check whether this is an edge case, or unrelated to the specific
driver.
