Hello Gernot, Hello Solomon thank you very much for your answers – I‘m sorry for answering late. I do not have a Linux System – I only have Macs with different OSX systems. I can also try the printer with the original driver on an old system which I haven't done yet. (but I think it will be OK because it prints directly from an SD-Card). It is not urgent for me – if you need any further informations of my printer, just tell me how I can help >The most likely explanation here is that your CP790 was inadvertantly >configured to use the standard 'usb' CUPS backend, rather than the >custom 'gutenprint53+usb' backend. What can I do to make the printer use the correct backend ? >If you could confirm the backend that's being used (visible in the >connection URI) that would tell us what the next steps need to be. Where shall I look … I can send Screenshots from my system preferences and from my printer configuration. Would this already be helpful ? or do I have to go deeper into the system via the terminal ? I‘ll be back at my office on monday where I can have a look at the printer. best regards, Clemens Am Fr., 8.
