I was able to install and print.  The ppd was updated properly and now show v5.3.4.  The pkg is properly signed.  It looks like all the bits and pieces are there.  We had problems in the past with getting the gutenprint53+usb in the package.  I checked and the and the package was properly signed.  I did not check for notarization as I didn't think we were that far.

I don't know if I will have any more time for things today.  I would like a chance to try an install for osx 10.6.  The v5.3.3 installer was crashing. Sometime would you tell me where and how you modified the CFLAGS.  Was it on the ./configure line or in one fo the Makefiles?  Outside of checking to see if it will install in macosx 10.6, I think we might be good to go.  If it crashes in 10.6, we would have to work that out or change the preinstall script to minimum version 10.7.
