As best I can tell, this printer is a Post Script printer.  I seem to recall that an "m" in the model name indicates a Post Script printer.  It also supports several other HP protocols.  You can find a basic Post Script PPD on the OpenPrinting site. That should give you basic capabilities when printing.  To take full advantage of all the printer can do, you could try the HPLIP package on Linux.  There is also a Mac OS X package  that should work at least through OS X 10.5.  I can find no other information as to whether it will support any higher version of OS X.
