I have just obtained a Canon CP1300 to replace my CP900. I tested it thoroughly prior to connecting to my Tumbleweed system running Gutenprint 5.2.15. I have used CUPS to detect the printer and define it as a printer using the IPP option (wirelessly) and while it does print OK the issue I have is that I have not (yet) found a way to get my printouts borderless. Initially I used Postcard as the paper size but this comes out with borders giving an image of about 87x136 mm, so I changed to a custom size defined as 100x148 mm and tried again, this time printing the image at 94x135 mm. If I print the image from Windows then the actual printed image is 100x152 mm the extra 4 mm allows the image to print over the perforations. So my question is how can I get linux to print on the CP1300 using borderless as I can do when printing from Android, Windows or offline from an SD card? There does not seem to be an option for this in CUPS at least not that I've found. Stuart -- Website: https://www.stella-maris.org.uk or: https//www.broadstairs.org |
