[Gimp-print-devel] [CUPS][GUTENPRINT] issue with the INK level

Hello,

I'm sorry to bother you with this problem but I'm facing an simple issue with Gutenprint and one of the current printer driver I use. The printer is compatible as it appear in your supported printer list (http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/p_Supported_Printers.php) so I assume it should fully work but it is not my case:

The printer is: Epson ME Office 1100
With the related driver escp2-meof1100

I'm using CUPS on a raspberry pi 3b+ and printer is connected over usb and raspberry share directly the printer.

As you can see in the attachment pictures I have trouble to display ink levels , but I don't know if it is because I misconfigured something, a bug from cups and/or Gutenprint, or this feature is not available. Could you help me to clarify where goes it wrong?

Also I succeed to get them from the command escputils, I installed on my raspberry pi 3b+ but are not using this command to retrieve the levels?

Finally, if this can't be fixed, do you know if we can manually add the link level through an external command to cups, or maybe there is a script to send an email when the command return a value lower than a threshold?
