Please check the version of mac os you are running.  mac os 10.10 is Yosemite and is several years old.  mac os Catalina was just released yesterday I believe.  Gutenprint has not been tested with that system.  However, the most likely problem is you Security setting.  Open System Preferences --> Security.   Make sure the choice for installing software is set to App store and identified developers.  The Gutenprint installer is properly signed by a recognized developer for mac os software.
