Hi Shelley,
I don't know anything about MacOSX, but what version of gutenprint are you
using. 5.2.14 is the one you should be using as far as I am aware.
The printer in question has been supported for a long time now, with no
issues reported.
If you have the supported version of gutenprint installed, perhaps setting
debug in the CUPS GUI will be the next step to see what gives. Unless
someone can point you to a known issue and its resolution.
