Hello Tom,
Can you confirm that the printer works fine via USB connection? I.e.,
that there is no issue with the actual gutenprint driver on your
system.
If there is a problem with USB, we would need a CUPs debug log.

If that is working fine, then the problems with networking would be
related to CUPS presumably, and a debug log would be necessary to
figure out more (and posting to the CUPS mailing list would help in
that case also).
