This is to announce the first pre-release of Gutenprint 5.2.11. Gutenprint is a suite of printer drivers that may be used with most common UNIX print spooling systems, including CUPS, lpr, LPRng, or others. Gutenprint currently supports over 2000 printer models. These drivers provide high quality printing for UNIX, Linux, and Macintosh OS X (10.6 and above) systems. Gutenprint includes CUPS and Foomatic drivers, and an enhanced Print plug-in for GIMP that replaces the print plug-in packaged with the GIMP distribution. As of 5.2.11, Gutenprint no longer supports Macintosh OS X 10.5. Major changes in this release: * Initial support for Datamax-O'Neil label printers: the Performance series and the Workstation printer. * Support for additional dye sublimation printers, and improvements, bug fixes for others. * Support for additional Canon inkjet printers, and bug fixes for others. Gutenprint 5.2.11-pre1 may be downloaded from https://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-print/files/gutenprint-5.2/5.2.11-pre1/.
