My previous Mac laptop worked fine with the printer, as did this laptop when I first bought it in 2010. It worked fine with the printer for almost a year, then colors began printing out increasingly greyed and hazy. Then maybe I fouled up something trying to do adjustments, because it started printing only in glaring flat yellow, red and black. It's been doing that ever since. It's not the printer that's the problem.......color test print-outs turn out just fine. It seems to be iphoto and textedit that are the problem. > > Does this sound like something your download could resolve? The HP DeskJet 1220C is listed as a supported printer for the Gutenprint project. It is not possible to say if the Gutenprint driver will resolve your issues. I would recommend that you try resetting the printing system --see <http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1341> --before you install the Gutenprint drivers. That should clear any corruption in the printing system. -- Matt Broughton Only relatives are absolute |
