Hello there,
I hope to find an answer to my problem in this forum, as I can neither figure it out myself nor with help of other forums / FAQs:
I'm having a powerbook OS X 10.3.9 and a HP Laserjet 5000N connected with a serial to usb converter cable and CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.3.99.1. So far, I am happy to have it running, took me a lot of trial and error. One problem remains: I can't choose or/and print A3. Clicking on papersize (from preview, adobe, any other program) the only options are A4 and smaller.
Yes, it is an A3 printer who used to print A3 with another Gutenprint driver once (forgot which one...). I've also checked the gutenprint FAQ but unfortunately there's no entry on that issue.
I can only guess that it should be possible to fix! I'm very grateful for any tip or advice!
Thanks a lot
Rebecca

I would suggest that you delete your current printer. Then add a new printer and choose the driver "Generic PCL 6/PCL XL LF Printer - CUPS + Gutenprint..."
The LF stands for large format printer.
