Firstly I want to thank you for these great drivers. Great job.
I almost gave up when I visited the Mac gutenprint page [http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php] as the last Headline was from 2019 declaring issues supporting OSX 10.15. Oh great, I thought, no more support just like with Canon (Canon support ended at OSX 10.9). Oh yes, and the heading above said "Gutenprint and Gimp-Print for Mac OS X (10.2 through 10.14)". I also clicked around a bit and looked at various subpages and still couldn't see any evidence it supported OSX 11.x. So I almost gave up! Luckily I came back to it after giving up on other options,
PLEASE - update the Mac OSX Gutenprint webpage: [http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php] .
- Remove / update the text "10.2 through 10.14" .. this is definitely wrong since OSX 11.x is supported
- Update Headlines section: either announce support for OSX 11.x (and perhaps 12.x?) or just remove the Headlines section altogether if it is not going to be kept up to date - 2 years since last headline, also it gives the impression development / support ended at OSX 10.14
THANKS - These drivers worked fine on Mac OSX 11.6 Big Sur, and my Canon MP240 worked first try print using these drivers. No messing around at all. Meanwhile the Apple built in drivers and Canon drivers were all useless and wasted a lot of time on these trying to figure out why (is the printer / cartridge broken? what if I try an earlier/later driver?)
Glad I gave these a go, great stuff. Saved me from almost heading off to buy a new printer due to it being abandoned. One less piece of tech in the landfill :-D
