I am trying to print a pdf file on gutenprit 5.3.3-4 using driver "Epson Expression Home XP-245 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.3.3 (color)" and gutenprint is failing with message "Filter failed" in Cups. I am selecting 1440 x 1440 resolution. When I select 720 dpi the driver works as expected and I was printing with previous gutenprint versions at 1440 dpi on the same printer with no failures.
The cups log file shows that "PID 4211 (/usr/lib/cups/filter/rastertogutenprint.5.3) crashed on signal 11." and I have attached it here.
This computer I am using is small and has only 4 gb of memory, running Ubuntu Studio 20.04.1. Maybe it is a memory related fail due to the higher resolution.
I hope anybody has already experienced this problem and can give me a clue.
