I am trying to get a Canon i9950 working with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, the printer properties show "Canon i9900 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.8-pre1", and I face the following problem: The ubuntu test page looks ok except that all colored parts seem to be stretched to the right by roughly +20% (scaling factor x' = 1,2*x, estimated by measuring the left edge of the colored circles). The y-direction seems to be ok, also the black parts of the printout seem to be ok. It looks as if the proplem is not of general character, but related to the Canon i9900 driver, since the driver for another Canon printer (MX885) also using CUPS and Gutenprint v5.2.8-pre1 is doing ok.
Could one of the experts please direct my to a point in the PPD-File where I can add some correction factor or anything comparable?
Any other hints welcome (except that I should throw away the i9950 printer, of course).
