Occasionally, CUPS likes to get stuck when printing one or more documents while on the status line of "Printing page 1, XX%". This isn't entirely consistent, as jobs also complete just fine half of the time. Notably, the printer hasn't actually started printing at the point where the progress gets stuck.
The system running CUPS is a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W, with Debian 12 on it. The software versions in use are CUPS 2.4.2 and Gutenprint 5.3.4. Attached is a full CUPS error_log with (as far as I can tell) debug output enabled.
What I forgot to mention in the original post is that the only way to get the printer unstuck seems to be a full power cycle. The printer doesn't respond correctly to
usbreset, and physically disconnecting and reconnecting the USB connector rarely manages to get it to continue.I also attached another CUPS log with more processed jobs. Jobs 82 to 84 legitimately stalled because I was in the process of doing a power cycle. Job 85 printed successfully, then job 81 got stuck.
