When Borderless mode is enabled, with Resolution set to Automatic or 600x600 DPI, the print is correctly borderless but there seems to be no K ink used, leading to darker colors looking greyish. Disabling borderless mode without touching any other settings causes the printer to use K ink correctly.
Additionally, some other Resolution modes result in no printing (e.g. 600x600 DPI HIGH). The printer shows a "Processing" message and CUPS indicates progress, but nothing is ever printed and after the % complete reaches 100% after a slow crawl, the printer goes back into idle mode having never loaded paper.

I forgot to mention the version: gutenprint-5.2.11-pre2
Hello,
Borderless only works for photo media, both in Windows and in gutenprint. There is one borderless mode for plain media in the Windows driver, it is a 300dpi draft mode, so one can use that to test some things I guess.
Since borderless is for photo media, the resolution modes used are photo modes, which use k and not K.
For the second part of your report: is 600x600 DPI HIGH not working in bordered mode even? With plain media? If this is the case, I will have to check the definition again to see if the mode is implemented correctly.
Can you send a complete CUPS debug log of the 600x600 DPI HIGH mode, using plain media, and standard bordered printing?
Best regards,
