Thanks very much for the release of giflib 5.2.2.

However, I now find that on Linux, make install is failing with convert: Command not found. Investigating, I find that the change in behaviour is due to https://sourceforge.net/p/giflib/code/ci/d565f6fa04be8973425bd7cd3f169908ac9e95c2/

I could of course install ImageMagick to make it work, but - it seems odd to me that ImageMagick is a dependency to install giflib? In order to... create a 1kb variation of gifgrid.gif? It would seem better me to add a 1kb near-duplicate file to the repository, rather than have an additional dependency.

However, if you think the current situation is perfectly fine, then ok, just wanted to throw that out there.

OK, that is a pretty funny error. I can laugh becaause I didn't do it.

    Am investigating.

I've committed the derived giflib.a to the repository. Thanks.

    Thanks very much.

I think the giflib-logo.gif target is no longer needed after that? I've created https://sourceforge.net/p/giflib/code/merge-requests/13/
