[ggt-devel] CPPUNIT_ASSERT() vs. assert()

Is there any reason that some tests in the GMTL test suite use assert() 
instead of the CPPUNIT_ASSERT() macro?  The best reason I can think of 
is to try to force the person running the test to fix the failure.  Is 
that the case here?
