Support for Calla is planned for next year, together with most of other USB devices.
Problem is that I am still testing best ways to connect to USB devices (real ones), and I think that this is USB HID device not USB Serial device...
I haven't come arround to contacting the firm, so that they could send me the protocol (if they are intersted). If they won't send it, then we will have to do it the hard way (Trial and error). Igor did you perhaps come accross protocols for communication? If yes please send them, it might expedite development.

Haven't seen any protocols yet. I will surely send them over if I find anything.
However, I found that this device is currently supported with SiDiary and Diabass if that helps.

Doesn't help much... Both this products are Comercial, which means they wouldn't share this data. We will have to ask directly in this company, maybe we will get something. You can try writing to the, perhaps they will give it to you (tell them that you would like to have support for their meter in one OpenSource application, and that developers there are willing to implement it, we just need the communication protocol).

Found this: Wellion CALLA series use the Prolific PL2303 chip/protocol for communication http://www.prolific.com.tw/US/ShowProduct.aspx?pcid=41&showlevel=0017-0037-0041
Chip version may vary but they should have similar communication protocol.
If exect version is required, I'll try to get it from my dad's glukometer in couple of days.

Hi !
This is just chip used for communication. This just tells me that we have Serial/USB Bridge communication.... We still need protocol...
Any luck with that?
