It would be nice to have more model data. The biggest hurdle I have in adding more is the very sparse amount of documentation on the NCEP site about the data . I was able to get NAM and MOS going with a very large amount of trial and error and educated guessing. But it is alot of work with little documentation.
The URL is the easy part. The hard part is figuring outwhat is stored in each of the variabes found in the grib files. Once can make guesses based on the variable names. And sometimes this is an easy guess to make. Other times it is a shot in the dark.
If I could ever locate any complete documentation about either of these subjects, it would make it much easier to add more model data to the gfe.
