#24 Under Win 98 crashes system on quit

GIT works just fine for everything, except when I try
to exit the program. at that point it brings the entire
system down. I'm running Win 98 (for complex reasons)
on a 7 year old dell with a celeron 400 in it and 256
megs of ram. I've got java 1.5 installed.. Dunno what
the problem is..
