GetData 0.8.4 released.

GetData 0.8.4 has been released. It may be downloaded from your local SourceForge mirror:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/getdata/files/getdata/0.8.4/

This release of GetData co-incides with a correction to the Dirfile Standards which hopefully clarifies the meaning of the final, optional parameter of a MPLEX definition, along with fixing the inconsistent behaviour in the library concerning the handling of this parameter. See the release notes for particulars.

Other bug fixes in GetData 0.8.4 include:

  • seeking to a negative sample number with gd_seek now properly fails
  • reading sample zero of a gzipped RAW field now always works
  • /REFERENCE directives in subdirfiles are no longer corrupted on write
  • NumPy arrays returned by the Python dirfile.getdata() method are now the correct length

Full release notes are provided at the bottom of the release page linked above as well as in the file called NEWS included in the GetData release archives.

Cheers,
