This release fixes two minor bugs introduced in GetData-0.8.4:

• A spurious debugging statement has been removed from the Python bindings.

This release of GetData co-incides with a correction to the Dirfile Standards which hopefully clarifies the meaning of the final, optional parameter of a MPLEX definition, along with fixing the inconsistent behaviour in the library concerning the handling of this parameter. GetData-0.8.3 has been released. You may download it from your local SourceForge mirror:

This is a bug-fix release, addressing bugs found after the release of 0.8.2. Most notably, it fixes bugs which prevented GetData from working on big-ended platforms, but it also fixes a few other minor bugs.

Also, since we had them lying around, this release introduces the MATLAB bindings for GetData. They're still somewhat experimental at this point, and have not been well tested; use with caution.... read more

GetData introduces Dirfile Standards Version 9. This new Standards Version adds the MPLEX and WINDOW field types, and field name aliases, the ability to modify field names provided in an /INCLUDE, and support for the zzip compression of data.

Additionally, GetData 0.8.0 introduces the ability to do automatic sequential reads or writes, write support for gzip compressed Dirfiles, and various other improvements and bug fixes. This release also adds Perl to the list of supported bindings.... read more

GetData 0.7.2 is a bug-fix release, adding the documented but missing functionality allowing absolute paths in /INCLUDE directives, and a few other minor bugs.

More importantly, this release marks the introduction of a source release targeted at Microsoft Corporation's Visual C++ compiler. This package is largely due to the effort of Peter Kümmel, who ported the source code to MSVC and wrote the CMake build system used to create project files to build GetData. GetData 0.7.1 is a bug-fix release to the recent GetData 0.7.0 release.

GetData 0.7.0 comes with a large API change: almost every function in the C API has been renamed to provide better namespace encapsulation. This was required to build GetData on MacOS X. GetData is now supported under MacOS X and well as Cygwin and Win32 using MinGW. (Some work has been done to allow building GetData witn MSVC, but more work remains.)... read more

This is a minor bugfix release. It fixes a bug when using an ASCII file as the reference field for a dirfile.

This is a minor bugfix release. It mostly fixes a few bugs in the build system; but if your copy of GetData built without issue, you don't have to worry about them. It also fixes potential segfaults in the Legacy API and the IDL bindings.

This release also removes the uncessesary inclusion of <complex.h> in getdata.h, which was causing trouble for some users.... read more

Version 0.3.0 of the GetData library has been released. This is the first release of the GetData library hosted on SourceForge.

This release introduces a new API which corrects for deficiencies in the legacy API. The legacy API has been fully re-implemented as a wrapper to the new API, and applications using previous versions of GetData should be able to use this release without modification.
