Your distribution / OS doesn't have the latest Chromium browser version? Your problems are over! Just select the version of your OS in the variables at the begining of the script and you can have the latest version of Chromium browser with just a few commands!

To configure the script just change these variables:

WORKDIR="${HOME}/Downloads/" # Directory where Chromium will be downloaded to
CHROMIUMINSTALLDIR="/opt/" # Directory where Chromium will be installed (a directory named chrome-linux will be created inside this directory)
ARCH=Linux_x64 # The arch of your OS, it should match the directory name in http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/chromium-browser-snapshots/index.html
USEROWNER="andre" # User that will be the owner of the chrome-linux directory
GROUPOWNER="andre" # Group which chrome-linux directory will belong to
FLASHDIR="/opt/flashplayer/" # directory where flash plugin is (libflashplayer.so file must exist inside this directory)
