I am missing a definition file for YAML. Unfortunately I do not know YAML good enough to create one myself.

If you know a little php, it would not be hard to make it yourself. See section 4 of the documentation that comes with GeSHi.
Otherwise, I'm not familiar with this language and so could not write the language file myself. If you could find someone with a little PHP experience and who knew your language, you could get them to write it.
I would like this feature because we use GeSHi in a project based on the symfony framework, which uses YAML extensively : )

Well, it would really be nice if someone who knows a bit YAML could compile a basic language file. Correcting and fine-tuning it shouldn't be that of a problem then.
works perfectly for JSON, and makes GeSHi support YAML mostly as well.
