#245 GerbV 'Not Responding' when running in Windows 10 Pro

I and running Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit with 8G memory. Intel Core i5-2520m CPU @ 2.5 GHz. When I execute GerbV (gerbv-win-static_20160713) the program opens and I can navigate through items such as 'Tools', 'Help', etc., but when I 'Open Layers', it stops responding and I have a heck of a time closing the program, even Task Manager won't close it. Any ideas? Thanks.
