Happy to see a Java Gerber file viewer, looks like a good start. Under Mac OS X 10.10.5: File -> Open only has some .TXT files available for opening, all other files are grayed-out. Typical suffixes from PCB layout packages inculde: .GBR .GBL .GBO .GBS .GTO .GTL .GTS .GML (outline) adding .TXT to the end didn't help.
