Unfortunately it isn't turned off, ie. the search pages are still
being generated and published, example:

http://geotools.org/search.html
http://docs.geotools.org/search.html

I've been trying to work out how to turn it off but it seems to be
hard-coded into the sphinx html builder :(  I posted a question to the
sphinx-dev list so hopefully someone can tell us the secret.
