Yes, Maven 2.0 is out in final release and has many advantages over=20
Maven 1.0. However it currently has one weakness which is preventing the=20
execution of some Geotools tests, but the Maven guys are working on this=20
issue:

As soon as this limitation is resolved (apparently in Maven 2.0.1), I=20
would like to propose the switch to Maven 2. In the main time, Maven 2=20
is provided as an experimental build system with tests disabled for some=20
modules (to ones where MNG-441 is a problem).
