I have come across a difference in the way the Java2D renderer and Mapserver from http://mapserver.gis.umn.edu renders features.
I was comparing two point layers given the same bounding box and data, two slightly different images were produced, these are attached. The bounding box I used was 127.0,-44.0,160.0,-24 with an image size of 600x400.
So I was wondering, is this a problem with the Java2D renderer and the way it converts latlon to pixel coords, or is it a difference in the way geotools and mapserver handle boundingbox coordinates that dont exactly match the aspect ratio of the image. I'd like to get the images the same since I plan on layering geotools "layers" over layers retrieved from Mapserver.
Thanks in advance.
