Thanks to everyone who responded to my last email I had some good comments
from enough people to think that this is worth taking further.
We need an open forum for further discussion rather than continuing to use
I have followed up on a suggestion and posted the email as a story on the
geoenabler web site:
We can use the comments system there to thrash ideas about, just join the
site and attach comments to the story.
The geoEnabler site seems to be a good public forum for now and if we
decide to go ahead then we can think about a name and get a project setup,
perhaps on SourceForge at which point mailing lists and the like become
Center for Computational Geography http://www.ccg.leeds.ac.uk
Spell Checker (c) Creative Spelling inc (aka my dyslexic brain)
http://www.geotools.org a client side java mapping toolkit.
