First a reminder that an IRC session is scheduled for this evening:
Time Tueday 26th 19:30 GMT
Ian sends his apologies but I hope everyone else will be available for a
I was supposed to be putting a full agenda together for this evening, but a
week seems to go by far too fast these days.
I was going to suggest some further discussion on GML, however given that
Ian won't be present it may be best to differ until next week, especially
as that will give RobH a chance to report back on some of the work he has
Instead then I propose the following three topics, mainly housekeeping, but
important to get right at this early stage of development.
1) coding standards: I have been looking into this and I have just found
the 'checkstyle' ant task which automaticaly checks for conformance with
suns coding standards (or other standards if so configured). It looks good
and will help keep us all in line. More details can be found:
2) the build process: I want to quickly go over the design of the build
process, how nbbuild works and how see if there are any problems with the
3) Styled-Layer Descriptors: I am part way though developing a set of
interfaces to map to the SLD proposal. It should prove the first step
towards getting rendering working, the interfaces are in core and any
comments would be welcome.
I'm open to additional suggestions to add to the agenda, so if anyone has
anything the would like to bring up then post a message to this list.
If there are no further items then we can keep this one quite short and
work on a more GML -> Feature oriented agenda for next time.
All the best
