#2 Geotoad doesn't obey proxy

This tool looks promising, Unfortunately, I can't test it because I'm behind a proxy server. I can set this up in Java, but don't know Ruby (sorry). I did find some info here:

I would like it if geotoad could automatically detect the proxy settings by checking environment for this variables http_proxy or HTTP_PROXY. If set, use the proxy. If not, use a direct connection.
