Ok, I solved the problem by creating an html as the root of tomcat to redirect automatically to the geonetwork webapp: <meta HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" content="0; url=http://comet.gutech.edu.om/comet"> the site is now online>> http://comet.gutech.edu.om It uses the new widget GUI that I have extended with a toolbar for functions that are only available with the old GUI. Sorry that the DB is still empty. metadata creation will start during this week. now there are just three more questions: 1. how do I change the data dir to a folder that is outside the geonetwork folder. I found the datadir option in the config.xml but that only seems to work for relative paths inside the GN root folder. 2. Same for geoserver... is there also an xml where I can specify the data dir? 3. Since the DB is still empty and I need make a workshop next week I was wondering if there are any public nodes I can use to harvest some global data. Do you know any pages that offer public harvesting access to their DB? especially USGS would be interesting. thanks, Chris -- View this message in context: http://osgeo-org.1560.n6.nabble.com/geonetwork-as-tomcat-root-directory-tp4345610p4346028.html Sent from the GeoNetwork users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
