There are also some other new features: * working transparency (translucency) with OpenGL by means of BSP-trees. To be precise: single objects -- as listed in the browser in the main panel -- will be rendered correctly with respect to themselves and with respect to any number of other solid objects. Translucent objects can be complex: lists and insts will work. This is new and still somewhat experimental; maybe I will turn the BSP-tree stuff into an optional feature which has to be activated at configure-time (--enable-bsptree-translucency or so). * I tried to reenable the OSMesa snapshots (OS == Off Screen), but with no luck. However, by means of glXCreateGLXPixmap() it is possible to render into off-screen memory, and this works now. On-Screen snapshots always suffer from the problem that the window has to be mapped and not obscured by other windows. Which also means that activating a screen-saver might be a problem. GLX offscreen snapshots can be actived with (snapshot CAMID ppmosglx XSIZE ZSIZE) and using the File->Save menu.
