It used to be that my objection was (as shared by another poster, I saw) that GTK+ 2 is too slow to be used. That was before I upgraded my home machine, heh. I actually *have* a GTK+ 2-port of gentoo at home, but it's based on an old version of the code, 0.11.4x something I think, and also has serious issues with the custom widgets etc. So, it's far from release- worthy. Since gentoo is not getting a lot of time from me at the moment, I find it easier to maintain the 1.2-based version than work on getting the 2.0 one "up to speed". Sorry about that. Regards, /Emil |
