#72 Broken keyboard navigation with latest gentoo

Interface (27)

I have been using Gentoo File browser for years but can not find my way
with the new version. In particular I found that I have to use the
mouse now for navigating. I'm used to use the keyboard (the arrow keys
and the return key) but that does not work anymore. Is there a way to
get the old behavior back? Often I do not even bother to connect a
mouse which renders the browser unusable.

I'm using Gentoo Linux amd_64. Any idea is appreciated

Can you please be a little bit more specific? What exactly are you referring to as "the new version"? A version number would be very handy. Is this a regression between e.g. 0.19.11 and 0.19.12, or something you've noticed when switching from 0.15.x to 0.19.y?

I guess it was the switching from 0.15.x to 0.19.y. Current version is 0.19.10. I'm running Gentoo-Linux and only 0.15.6 and 0.19.10 are marked stable. I could try downgrading and see if the problem goes away. What do you reckon?

Well ... Keyboard navigation works for me, and I'm not aware of it breaking for other users. Can you describe the problem in more detail? Does gentoo seem to ignore _all_ keyboard input?

Is even basic navigation (i.e. cursor keys up/down) to move the "highlight bar" in the panes broken?

What does your configuration file look like? Have a look under the Controls/Keyboard page in the Configuration window, perhaps you've lost all your bindings when upgrading, or something.

Closing this as Invalid, lacking feedback. Please re-open if you still have problems!
