#45 Button area should be scalable separatedly from the panes

Priority: VERY low: I think it would be nice if the button pane was separated from the two panes by a moveable separator. Meaning that if you move the separator the buttons scale in the vertical axis. I think this would be good because currently the button pane shares horizontal space with the Shortcut pane, the number of rows of which is independent of that of the buttons pane.
It might be nice if one could scale the bottom pane whch holds those to one's liking so it accounts for either the shortcuts or the buttoms. Fictive example: I removed all buttons so the shortcut pane is sequeezed into a 3 pixel high space.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

    I would like to do a lot about the configurability of gentoo's GUI, but I never seem to get around to designing and implementing a more flexible system for it.

    Co-habitating the Shortcuts and the main buttons creates issues like these, since some of the layout decisions are hardcoded.
