I'm able to upload a "new" genome and annotations, but my problem is that while the genes and strandedness of the annotations from my .gff or .gtf are right, somehow the gene names get lost. from my .gff file, I get names like "UNKNOWN_SYM_12".
Does anyone have any ideas about how to change my .gff (presumably the 8th column) so that I can see my gene names? Here are the first few entries from my .gff
Would it be possible to get a slightly larger sample that the few lines you have typed in? We don't need the whole file, but that little snippet isn't quite enough for us to test... You can attach a file to this thread and we will test it... don't worry! We won't keep it or distribute it! For testing purposes only! :)

Hello Anna!
