Genode OS Framework release 14.05

The fresh release comes with a strong focus on framework scalability. We introduce a new concept for integrating third-party software. The concept unifies existing separate solutions into one port-management tool. Also, we are proud of our per-process virtual file system library, which supports programs based on the C runtime to seamlessly integrate with isolated file services for distinct concerns, e.g., web-server configuration and data.

With the current release, we also add an initial version of block-level encryption support to Genode. The rumpkernel-based NetBSD cryptographic device driver (CGD) was ported to the framework and provides transparent encryption and decryption of the block-session interface. Furthermore, we improved the base-hw (SMP) and base-nova (static priorities) platforms as well as enabled VirtualBox guest-addition support and USB3 on x86.
