This release focuses on storage and virtualization bringing Genode one step further to a general-purpose OS. Storage-wise we improved our block-driver API to better support asynchronous operation, added a block-cache implementation, and extended our file-system support with NetBSD rump kernels. Genode now supports ext, FAT, exFAT, and NTFS. Second, we enhanced our virtualization portfolio by a port of the VirtualBox VMM to Genode/NOVA, which enables support for a wide range of guest OSes (including MS Windows).
