One might think that this project is dead, but it is alive. I just don't have much time at the moment to keep it evolving. However executor_taron just finished with the german part of the website, you can view it on http://gengine.sourceforge.net
Let's see what the future brings,

Well, executor_taron left us. He is no longer interested in this project :-(.
To anyone: We are stil alive! This weekend will be very constructive. I have much time to continue.
Finally, i uploaded the new packages. This is the first official release, with a correct version number. the docs are finished in german, the english translation has to be updated (win32 information are missing)
The documents are added to the cvs. the next release is right in front of the door.
Finally, the first docs are online (sorry, not yet win32, so developers for win32: have a try and a glimpse at the source, general like linux). I will add the docs soon to the cvs and release the first official version (4.0) afterwards.
I have set up a "ICQSurf meeting" with our doc writer on sourceforge net for 181@583. He told me that he is nearly finished with the first version of our documents, so that we can upload them soon. Win32 version and the tools are not yet documented, but that will come soon.
Keno Friesenborg (kojaques) joined the group. He is our "Documentation Manager"
Dominic (executor_taron) has developped a new tool which converts poly files (generated by writepolytodisk) into C++ sourcecode. It will be part of the next release. If you don't want to wait so long: it is already in CVS, GEngine/tools/poly-converter

Finally, all binary and the source releases are ready to download!
I am actually doing some admin commands for the binary files and in a few minutes the cvs repository is ready for usage!
As soon as I have completed that I will release a source package for GEngine.
Now for the bad news:
The guy who is making the documentation is not finished, so for now, GEngine is undocumented. let's hope that he finishes soon.
We have a new member in the project! His name: executor_taron. He will create a website for the project. Let's see what he can do.
I had a problem with the cvs upload and I am now waiting for a support request. then I will upload my source to cvs.
finally, the Sourceforge project for GEngine was approved today. There are a few things more to do in the source and the documentry, before the whole project will be made available here.
