Genesis of Genesix

Genesix a 0x86 kernel has come to life.
A new Genesix emerges in front of our eyes. Though the kernel is only in his infancy, a great future is yet to come. Currently the project contains the minimal kernel code which includes the boot strap and kernel's main initialization. The road that spans beneath our feet is long, but Genesix is ready for this expedition.

Code exists in CVS should be able to compile under any Intel Pentium IA-32. You will need GCC for the compilation process (as and ld are required). At the moment Genesix can only be run from a floppy disk, you will need one in order to copy Genesix images to it. Note that the process of copying Genesix images is done automatically during the last phase of the compilation process.

More documentation of the project and technical reference will be added soon. Project's next steps are implementing memory management subsystem, process management and scheduling.

Get ready for a new Genesix....
