Genes is a personal genealogy application for Linux.

This version reads more tags from a gedcom file (using
gedcom-parse 0.90.0), also the compilation under Red Hat 9
has been fixed.

Genes is a genealogy application for unix.

In this version the family window is improved and also printing of a Family Sheet works. This version compiles with gedcom-parse version 0.17 and probably also version 0.18

Version 0.1.1 is available for download. The big
change is that it use gedcom-parse 0.13 for parsing gedcom files.

Version 0.1 of genes is available for download.
With this version you can read a gedcom file,
and browse through the information.

Some changes have been put forward to the database schema that is linked from our project homepage.

This is nowhere near even an Alpha release yet, but we've got the initial source code into CVS now.

The old mailing list and homepage for this project have been deactivated, and all information moved to the new site at http://genes.sourceforge.net
