Hi. I'm using this with Catalina on my MacBook 17 and a UPD720202 expresscard.

I'm using Hackintool.app to install this:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-installing-3rd-party-kexts-el-capitan-sierra-high-sierra-mojave-catalina.268964/

Now, if I plug in the card the com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBXHCIPCI driver takes over which is horribly broken and slow (takes like an hour to mount, about 4 seconds per record to list a directory with ls). To prevent this you have to kextload /Library/Extensions/GenericUSBXHCI.kext prior to plugging in the card (or unplug the card and kextunload com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBXHCIPCI if you plugged it in already).

I'm unsure why it doesn't load it automatically.

Another problem is that net.osx86.kexts.GenericUSBXHCI lacks a signature of any kind which means one cannot create an exception in Gatekeeper. The only work-around I know of is disabling Gatekeeper altogether.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. For what its worth I use my USB 3 card so infrequently I don't mind having to manually load the driver each time I use it.
