There are parameters that are interlinked with each other in such a way that one is actually dependent on the other, for example, if you do not permit your car to "accelerate" than the fields for max acceleration in x and y direction is not applicable, which can be represented properly by the current parameter table.

Therefore, a row in the parameter table that is a tree, might be useful. It might be worthwhile considering more elaborate scheme to link the parameters together.
