Yes, I think that <xi:include href="&some_file;"/> is
a very eligant solution. Kind of cooked, but still
with the standard.

Though I am not sure what you mean between external
file and filename. Its seems they are the same. Or is
there a shade of grey that I don't see.

What is the process for <xi:include
href="&some_file;"/> to resolve?
